Hi,
I'm using a datagrid to display contents of a dataset and I've set the
datagrid to allow paging and sorting.
Rather than re-retrieve from the DB, I store the original dataset in a
Session variable and then rebind to it for each page (which works).
I'd also like to be able to sort any of the columns of the datagrid, so I do
this using a...

Hi,
I am using a OleDB provider that connects to ANY datasource - I do not know
if these have some nice ID that I can page on.
Using the OleDataAdapter FILL method. I then fill the dataset with say 1000
records.
If the source table is 6 000 000 rows long there is a problem in that the
datareader fetches all 6 000 000 and then returns the...

I have been paging with DataSet using "DataGridPageChangedEventArgs" and i
guess it works with only Dataset because default paging requires that the
DataGrid be able to determine the number of total records in the
DataSource. This is possible with the DataSet, but not with the SqlDataReader..
So what are the best ways to apply paging to...

Hello,
I have a GridView in my ASP.NET 2.0 application that performs the paging
feature perfect when I have it bound to a data source.
But now I have it bound to a dataset and the paging feature will not work.
When I try to use paging I get this error:
The GridView 'gvResults' fired event PageIndexChanging which wasn't handled.

Hi Folks
I'm trying to determine a way to handle paging, filtering and sorting in a
datagrid.
If I choose to filter and sort, I'd like to return a subset. If that
resultset has more records then the number of rows I'd like to display, I'd
like to be able to load pages into the grid.
My question is, do I need to continually hit the db to...

Hi,
I am retrieving data from an external (www) data provider through
socket communication. I send a structured query (not SQL or XML) in the
form of a string containing tab seperated values and the external
provider returns data in the same format. I have written classes in C#
to represent the individual types of records returned, and to...

Hi folks,
I am trying to page through a portion of the data in a table and therefore I
think I need to use Custom Paging.
.... but, I am wondering if I can pass a dataset that was obtained through a
function that returns a dataset that is a portion of a table. Apparently I

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
