Whidbey Webproject error

Hi
I am unable to create a web projetc using whidbey. When
I choose "New Web Site" option from File menu, I get this
error saying "Default.js or Default.vbs not found in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Whidbey\Web\WEB PROJWizards\VB\ Webs\Applicatio n\Scripts\1033
"
I get this when I run Whidbey on Windows XP. And I am able
to create other types of projects OK.

On longhorn, I can't even get whidbey working to open an
existing project or create any project type. It seems like
the error has to do with MSXML 4.0

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Sankar,

Based on my research and experience, the following articles are useful to
this issue. Please check them carefully.

On the other hand, would you please where you got the Whidbey version?
Currently the newest released version of VS.NET is 2003. Whidbey is the
next version. A beta version is only used for testing. Thank you for your
understanding.

I actually honestly believe that this problem might stem from my SQL 2005 Express installation, but since it occurs in Whidbey I figured I'd post here. My problem is that I can't create a new datasource in whidbey using the add new option in the data menu. I get a messagebox with an error such as the following: "An unexpected error has occurred. Not sure if this is the right newsgroup, but it's the best I can find. Is there a way to have the new webserver host the files without a virtual directory? Right now the following happens: I create a webproject at c:\websites\web1, this is hosted by the integrated server as http://localhost:24998/web1.

My computer was moved last week, and the company changed the network groups we work on. As a result, one of the main benefits from Whidbey (database connectivity) no longer works. Situation: 1. I open a new project based on a windows form 2. I click on "data" and then "Add New Data Source" then I click on next within the wizard 3. I have 3 choices Database, Local Database, Web service and Object. 4. I choose Database, click next and get...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
