Anyone used the Crystal Reports Viewer in .Net?

Happy Early Thanksgiving to all :)

I have been spending days working with these two articles
and the articles are good but missing information.

http://builder.com.com/5100-6389-5092230.html

and
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/is...5/Crystal/defa
ult.aspx

The problem with both of them is that I have a problem
binding data from SQL Server 2000 to VB.Net 2003. The
builder.com uses Project Document from the Toolbox in .Net
while the older article uses the Crystal Reports Viewer in
the Toolbox.

Can anyone send me some snippets of code or tell me how I
should bind data into the Crystal Reports Viewer in .Net.

I appreciate everyones help :)

Happy Day,
Ed

Hi All, I'm not very sure if this is the forum for my question but i was hoping someone could direct me to the right place (or answer my question). I am using the .NET crystal report viewer to display reports (crystal reports) in HTML in my web application. My client's requirements are that the reports need to be viewable on Netscape, Mozilla and IE. However, in Netscape

Hi Again, Forgive me for posting this again, but old items seem to get little review. I thought I could adjust the viewer properties without any further aid from the NG, but I was wrong. When I print my reports to a file or directly to the printer, the orientation is landscape. This was set in the report itself using Designer | Printer Setup and setting the printer to landscape. When I send the report to the viewer, using the...

Hello, I have developed a reporting application w/ASP.NET on IIS v5 utilizing the Crystal Reports v9 ActiveX Viewer. Another developer has produced several reports using the client version of Crystal Reports v9, and we are using this application as a means of publishing these reports to internal web users via the ActiveX viewer provided with Crystal. I am able to successfully run these reports in IE against localhost on the development...

Hi Group, I've got an interesting problem, I don't know if this is the right group but I think so because everything I've read about it so far says it's a .net problem. Here's the problem, we're using crystal reports 9 and vb.net and we're using the crystalrepotViewer to show our reports. But every time we open a report the connection to or sql server remains, so if I open 5 forms with the report viewer I've got 5 sleeping connections in...

I am developing a windows application in VB.NET 2005 that includes a number of crystal reports. To use the reports I use the included crystal report viewer and pass a dataset to the report at runtime in order to report from. The issue I am having is with the amount of memory that the crystal viewer uses and doesn't recover.

working on a difficult problem, using crystal reports and when the report is exported for the file save it uses the name of the webform that the control is on, like default.aspx, but without the aspx. Anyway just wondering if there is a way to dymanically change the name of the form, for example to put the current date in it like (report022007). -- Paul G Software engineer.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
