I am new to .NET (coming from Java). We have to implement a desktop
application which extracts data from a database, does some analysis,

I have noticed that in .NET applications Windows widgets like the
DataGrid are often directly bound to a DataSet Object. For me this

I have a situation where I want to use circular referencing. I have cut
down the example for demonstration purposes.
Say we have one executable (main.exe) and two DLLS (A1.dll and A2.dll).
Main can access classes in A1 and A2; A1 can access classes in A2.
However, I now want to access classes in A1 from A2. I cannot simply
create a third DLL as the A1/A2 assemblies use other classes within

aspects or connotations. But from what I can see, that is not
necesserially the case at all?
So what is the reasoning behind the term?

Okay, looking for a Best Practice. We are building a classic three tier app
in VB.NET. When we load up a WebForm we have access to very useful objects
such as the Session object. We frequently store short lists in Session or
even Application objects and retrieve them later without having to make a
round trip to the db.
We think the best place to do all this is in the Business tier and not to

business objects I have in another separate application. What the best
way to do this?
It appears that adding a reference and pointing to the
INETPUB\WWWROOT\MyOldApplication\MyBusinessObject\Bin\BusinessObjects.dll
of my other application
works and the code compiles but I want to know if this is the right
way of doing this.

I am experiencing a lot of speed issues on initial app loads where we are
referencing 3rd party 1.1 assemblies from 2.0 code.
Those 1.1 assemblies reference things like System.Windows.Forms (totally
unnecessarily I might add).
I'm assuming our memory footprint will practically double by re-loading the
System, System.Web, System.Windows.Forms assemblies.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
