I just want to test my application, and I want to upload it to www.brinkster.com server, but free host version does not support
code behind pages.
Can Visual Studio make both the code and the html in one .aspx file,
and how can I do that?
If not can You tell me where to find free hosting that supports code
behind pages?

Visual Studio won't help, but if you manually change the:
codebehind="wha tever.aspx.cs"
attribute in the @Page directive of your aspx page to:
src="whatever.a spx.cs"
and upload the whatever.aspx.c s file to the same directory as the aspx
file, then the ASP.NET runtime should automatically compile your
codebehind source file the first time the page is accessed.
Alternatively, you can simply copy the contents of the whatever.aspx.c s
file into a code block in your aspx page:
<script runat="server" language="c#">
//
// copy the whatever.aspx.c s file contents here...
//
</script>
But that would require some significant massaging of the code in the
script block to get things to work.
Remember to perform a similar operation to the global.asax file(s) if
you need them, and remember that if you want to go back and forth using
VS.NET you'll be in for a world of pain.
Note that if your VS.NET WebForm project consists of multiple C# source
files and/or has .resx files, the effort to get the VS.NET project to
work in this situation increases - you might want to look for another
host or take a look at WebMatrix, which doesn't support code-behind.
If not can You tell me where to find free hosting that supports code

Hey Folks,
I have a bunch of aspx pages in a solution. One of these pages, call it
header1.aspx, has it's code behind in header1.aspx.vb. Another,
header2.aspx, has header2.aspx.vb. When I double-click a web control on
header1.aspx, it brings me to the code behind for header2! In fact, the
code behind page header1.aspx.vb doesn't even recognize the controls on page
header1.aspx.

I am just trying to decide whether to split my code and uses code behind. I
did it with one of my pages and found it was quite a bit of trouble.
I know that most people (and books and articles) like it because you can
split the code from the design. That is logical. But if you are the only
one working on the code, it seem a little overkill.
I use Dreamweaver to do my design and find it a bit of a hassle to have

I have someone who is good at designing, but know nothing about ASP. He can
build the design of the pages in HTML with tables, labels, textboxes etc.
