Compress ASP.NET Pages

Does somebody know, if theres a way, to compress an
ASP.NET Page before its sent to the client?
e.g. remove all formatting characters

I want to get my pages as small as possible.

there are a few tools out there, which basically are to be installed on the
webserver hosting your site and compresses all things that go through IIS
before sending it to the client. If its a shared server than i dont think
many hosting providers will allow it but its worth a try.

http://www.httpzip.com

http://www.octagate.com

Paul.

You can probably write an http module that e.g. removes all the blank in
your response (whitespace filter)

Dreamweaver 4 Hi Can anyone recommend a decent utility for compressing HTML that is safe - i.e. that *definitely* doesn't mess with the appearance in any browsers. I run a growing website whose pages are inexorably getting too "heavy".

I have a website with no ssi, php, cgi...nothing. Plain old flat pages are all it serves. I need to upload a list to it - a big, plain text list in html. A 2Mb list! With gzip compress, it comes down to 91Kb, much more modem-friendly! After about 30 minutes of googling, I haven't yet found a way of serving this page up like this. I can't...

I need to improve the download speed for an asp.net 2.0 application. So I'd like to compress the dimension of the .aspx pages. These pages don't have any images or heavy element. The most long text of the pages is the javascript code that is automatically inserted on the pages by the .net. How can i compress these files?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
