Is there an event that is invoked when a user sorts a
column in a Windows Forms DataGrid?
I have context senstive icons that are enabled\disabled
depending upon the selected item in the datagrid. When I
sort the datagrid the selected item changes. I can not
find the event that is fired when the sorting occurrs
therfore I cannot enable\disable the icons
Thanks in advance,

I have a DataTable in a DataSet. A DataGrid is bound to the DataTable.
When I assign a field to the DataTable.DefaultView.Sort property the
order in the DataGrid does not change.
What am I missing?

In a WinForms application with a DataGrid bound to a DataTable, if I
change the DefaultDataView.Sort property the order of the data in the
grid does not change.
If I change the Sort property then reassign the DataTable to the
DataGrid's DataSource the DataGrid does show the new order.
If I change the Sort property then call DataGrid.SetDataBinding the
DataGrid does _not_ show the new order.

I have create a page with SQLDateAdapter, SQLConnetion, DataSet and
Datagrid.
I have bound the Datagrid at design time.
I could not find a way to perform sort operation on the datagrid this way.
I could only sort when I am not bounding the datagrid at design time
Anyone has a code example for that (datagrid is bound in the designer) ?
Thanks for your time

I'm using VS.net. I have created a component with the basic set of database
commands. This component returns a record set that is bound to a datagrid. I
want to add a dynamic sort, but am not sure how to do this. If the query were
on the same webform this would not be a problem, i'd jist add it to the
select string.
but..... using the component designer in vs.net i'm not sure how to do this,
nor am i sure how to call the fill with the sort...

Very simple, I have a datagrid on a windows form. I load some rows in it.
I click a column header and it sorts ascending. I click it again it sorts
descending. This is great, but what I want to do is after the sort, I want
to know what row is now the "selected" row. I want to do this so I can
update some stuff on the form that correlates to this row. This does not
seem so easy...please advise.
Thanks,
Ben

Hi all,
I hope someone can help with this relatively simple problem.
I am building a timesheet application using ASP.NET C# with Visual
Studio 2003.As it is only a protoype application, my database has been
made in MSDE.
I've searched all over the web for the answer to this, but can't quite
work it
out. Basically, I am showing all Timesheet Entries in a DataGrid, by

Does anyone have any example code showing how to sort a datagrid that
is bound to a custom class array? My code calls a web method that
returns an array of type LeadListDS. LeadListDS consists of string,
DateTime, and boolean datatypes. This returned array is then bound to
the datagrid and seems to work fine I just need to figure out this
sorting issue. Thanks

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
