XmlValidatingRe ader throws exception for SAOP-ENV:encodingSty le attribute

Hi,

I am using .Net Framework 1.0 for Web service development.
I use XMLValidatingRe ader for SOAP request validations. If
request contains "encodingSt yle" attribute on SOAP
Envelope element then I get following SOAP fault message

The 'http://schemas.xmlsoap .org/soap/envelope/:encodingStyl
e' attribute is not allowed.

I read SOAP specifactions 1.1 and 1.2. SOAP spec-1.1 says
encodingStyle attribute can appear on any element while
SOAP 1.2 spec does not allow encodingStyle on SOAP
Envelope element. I was thinking that .Net Framework 1.0
follows SOAP 1.1 specifcations and should not generate
above validation error. Am I correct? Is there any work
around to fix this problem.

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks,
-Himmat

I believe the .Net XmlValidatingReader should fail when validating XML that contains a ComplexType element with white space when the ComplexType element has the mixed attribute set to false in the XSD used for validation. XSD fragment: <xs:element name="TRSellerBuyerData"> <xs:complexType mixed="false"> <xs:sequence>

I am having some trouble validating XML using the XmlValidatingReader. I have created some xml and used the visual studio to generate the schema. So I am confident that the xml and schema match. The problem I am having is that the validation event fires for each node in the xml. It seems to be completely ignoring the schema that I have...

The XmlValidatingReader seems to have changed drastically in .Net Frameworks 1.0 SP3 and beyond with regards to validating XML files that are XML Schemas. Consider the following code: --- class ValidatingSchema { static void Main(string args)

Hi- I've created an XHTML extension module which validates correctly using the W3C online schema validator, but fails when I use the .net 1.1 validator. It seems to be choking on an included W3C file: http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/SCHEMA/xhtml-notations-1.xsd The problem seems to be on this line: <xs:notation name="cdata"...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
