I have the following method written in C#
public static void Substitute(Cont rolCollection controls, ArrayList
affectedControl s, ref CCase objCase)
{
// ............... ...
}
From VB.NET I call it like this
myclass.Substit ute(controls, affectedControl s, m_objCase)
Definition of CCase is in another VB project and I have refrences to it in
C# project and the calling VB project.
However, whenever I am doing a build the calling VB project generates the
following error.
E:\Development\ Vega\VegaGUICom mon\cControlSet upWeb.vb(51): Reference
required to assembly 'VegaObjects' containing the type 'VegaObjects.CC ase'.
Add one to your project.

I think it is a MS bug. Surprised it still exists in VS 2003 as I found
reference to it
in Jan 2002!!!!
The problem disappears, if I browse for DLL containing CCase, instead of
referencing
its source project.

i have a quick question... is there a way to obtain the reference to the
object which called the currently executing method?
here is the scenario, i have a class and a field which i would like to
populate with a reference to the object that constructed this current
object. i would attempt to accomplish this by setting the appropriate
field from within the constructor...
i figured it might be obtainable from the stack trace, but that...

In an attempt to answer another question in this group, I've had to resort
to calling the DOM method, Node.removeChild(), using a reference to it
(long story...). That is, passing Node.removeChild.
In Opera (7.23/Win), the call appears to do nothing - the node remains -
but no errors are shown. In Netscape (7.0/Win), an exception results.
On IE (6.0/Win), the node is removed.
Strangly, if I pass another function reference, say...

Hiya,
I'm setting up some code in the spirit of Design Patterns, OOP, etc. All
nice and well, it handles pretty much all OO style things and serves my
purposes well. There's one last final question remaining: How to properly,
simple and eleganty implement functions. The functions are encapsulated in
the objects, the objects themselves are stored in a binary tree and objects
contain 'methods' (functions) along with data. I don't want to...

Hi All,
I need to call a function(loaded with appendChild) for which I have the
name as a string.
....
var fnName = 'fn1';
var call = fnName + '('+ param +' )';
eval(call);

I was under the assumption that if you pass an object as a param to a method
and inside that method this object is changed, the object will stay changed
when returned from the method because the object is a reference type?
my code is not proving that. I have a web project i created from a web
service that is my object:
public class ExcelService : SoapHttpClientProtocol

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
