I would like to create Activex Control uisng C# and use it in ASP.Net webform. User Control is not solving my requirement so I am going for Activex Control.

i have some old asp pages that uses activex controls. At the moment, my
company are converting all of these old asp pages to asp.net. So my question
is, there is a way to handle activex events in the asp.net code behind.

I need a good primer in how to program an ActiveX control that is launched
client side to communicate with the server. I've read thru three C# books
and none of them even touch on the subject. I've searched web sites and
found nothing. Is client side ActiveX programs on the way out? Is there
any online examples of how to code an ActiveX control to take to the server?

Hi All,
I'm trying to display .NET Custom Control (created using Inherited Control)
on an ASPX page, but no luck. I already registered the Control to Global
Assembly Cache through .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration. I have also put a
reference to the control on my ASP .NET project. The view that I get is only
a disabled text area.

Is it possible to use Visual Studio 2005 or, secondarily, Visual Studio .NET
2003 to create ActiveX controls which may be consumed by VB 6.0 programs,
i.e. dealt with on forms in the usual way?

Hello, some users of the application I’m maintaining cannot run it on their PC after they have performed asp.net registration in IIS. It seems a problem in loading aspx pages.
IIS is 5.1, ASP.NET1.1.
They run the ‘aspnet_regiis –i’ command from proper folder, i.e. 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322’, and the mappings for aspx extensions were actually added.
