two asp.net projects shared one request.isauthe nticated?

I have two seperated asp.net projects - project1
(\inetpub\wwwro ot\project1) and subproject
(\inetpub\wwwro ot\project1\sub project).

They share authenticating code in
\inetpub\wwwroo t\project1\glob al.asax.vb. and using "Forms", however,
the request.isauthe nticated always turns to false after authenticated in
project1 and redirecting url from http://localhost/project1/*.aspx to
http://localhost/project1/subproject/*.aspx.

Using VS2003, I can't add an existing class to a project w/o the IDE creating a copy of it. I want multiple projects to be able to share a central copy of a class. I can't compile the shared class into a library because one of the executables that uses the class needs to be a self contained executable that will be downloaded and immediately executed on a PDA. I can't GAC the shared library so that both applications can use it because...

I have created a class which I wish to reuse amongst several projects. But each time I Add the class to a new project, it creates a copy of that class in the folder of the new project. This means that when I make changes to that class, I have to apply the same changes to all the projects. Is there a setting that I have missed such that I can share one class amongst several projects? -- Tinius

Seems either of these can be used to check whether a request is authenticated or not: Request.IsAuthenticated HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated Are these always in sync? in other words, the values returned from these two properties are always the same in any scenarios? Thanks

Hi, I'm using a custom class in my ASP.NET which has a Shared property. I don't want this Shared property to be shared between users because of thread concurrent accesses problems. I just want it to be shared between the several instances of the class belonging to the same request/user. I think I've read somewhere that shared properties are not shared among users in ASP.NET. (that would be logic as a shared property should die after each...

I have a program I am trying to compile into a dll and am getting a bunch of: the following errors: error BC30469: Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference. At first, I thought it was because I had the sub set as shared, but I get the same error if it take the Shared out. What is causing these errors?

For example, I have the following bit manipulation routines in my Class: ******************************************************************************* imports System NameSpace MyFunctions

I'm working with a group that's been doing C++ coding for quite a long time, now, and in that environment we've pretty much worked out development practices that serve us well. We've been doing more and more, over the last few years, in C# and ASP.NET. Some web apps, some background services. In our C++ code base, we have a fair number of statically-linked libraries that contain code we share between projects. At this point, in our...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
