I have 2 frames - one with button and another with a grid
How do I get a reference to the controls on the other webform ?
From the one frame I can 'see the webform' fo the other frame, bit not the controls.
A simple code snippet would help. MSDN subscriber - but I dont think its linking correctly.

I just realized that the code I inherited is using all asp.net server
controls (ie. webform controls) and when I try to update textboxes on the
client side, I lose the new value of the textbox when submitting the form to
update the database. The server doesn't have the client side value any more.
It seems to me that as I begin to write the client side javacript code for
form validation and client side editing capabilities in order to save...

Personally, I am totally confused with the following control terms and usage
and advantages of each one in ASP.NET web application. Here's what I know so
far..
1. HTML Client Control: understood by the client only. e.g. <input

2. HTML Server Control: understood by the server only. e.g. <input

Hi Folks.
So I have a small problem. My DoPostBack function is not writen to
the HTML page nor are the asp:buttons calling the DoPostBack.
My Goal is to create a totaly dynamic web page where the server
generates the HTML based on a passed in parameter. In our case,

This works great as long as the contains just client-side
HTML, CSS, etc.

Nobody knows how to get the values provided in the client can be read in the
user-control?
If have made a Web Custom Control with 2 textboxes and 1 dropdownlist.
The user fills in my control (the textboxes and the dropdownlist) and lots
more stuff on the page.
When the user wants to save the page he'll click the save button.
The server gets the postback but I can read out the filled in controls (in
