problem in asp.net session and authentication with network

I got some problem on session and authentication on asp.net web site as
describe below

First Scenario
Develop on developper machine (windows 2000 Prof)
- Website reside on Virtual directory of Deffault website
(localhost/[asp.net_site]/start.aspx)

When move to
Staging Server (windows 2000 server)
- Create virtual Website (in addition of Default website which has been
stopped) with different IP (same port 80). (DNS or Computer/start.aspx)

Request.IsAuthe nticated does not work when using DNS name(Map to the new IP
create on stagining server) or Computer Name but work fine if browsing with
IP (IP/start.aspx)

Second Scenario
First Scenario
Develop on developper machine (windows 2000 Prof)
- Website on Virtual directory of Deffault website

When move to
Staging Server (windows 2000 server)
- Create virtual directory inside default web site.
- Server also acting as router (contains 2 NIC) for linking between 2
network

asp.net Session loss when Client browser browse from outside network (Main),
work fine when browsing from Client inside network(NAT)

Hi, I have tried to keep things simple. Not simple enough, obviously. I have a set of intranet ASP.NET pages which access a SQL back-end through the normal SQLConnection stuff. I want to use peoples' NT logons to user-stamp data changes made through the web-pages. So it seemed obvious to use Windows authentication to access SQL connections.

Hi, I've created a little site for my sports club. In the root folder there are pages that are viewable by every anonymous user but at a certain subfolder my administration pages should be protected by forms authentication. When I create forms authentication at root level it works but when I move my code up to the subfolder I get this error: Server Error in '/TestProjects/FormsAuthenticationTestingArea' Application.

I'm having a credentialing problem in my web application. Actually, I don't think this is an IIS security issue, since I'm able to access the page I'm requesting. However, the executing page itself is not able to access a specific network resource and I just can't figure out why. First of all, let me say this worked fine with IIS running on Win2000 Server. This has not worked since I upgraded to Windows Server 2003. My Platform: Windows...

I have a question about cookies & browser permissions and turning off cookies when creating a web site (cookieless mode in web.config). I have a web site that of course uses Session variables. But we decided to turn off the cookieless mode because the client specifically said her browser did not allow cookies. Anyway, when searching about it, I found out that by setting cookieless = true the session cookie is embedded into the URL sent...

I have a test network consisting of four servers running windows 2003 server R2 SP2. I have set up a domain which functioned correctly for about a day and a half until the other servers decided they can no longer connect to the domain controller. Ping resolves the domain controllers name to the correct ip nslookup finds the ip but can not resolve the name. When I attempt to log on to a machine on the domain it takes around twenty minutes...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
