I am doing some some HTML manipulation in client-side script (IE5.x and IE6.x browsers only).
Something like..
var tmpHTML = oTable.outerHTML
// do something to the HTML her
oTable.outerHTML = tmpHTML
Before the changes, client-side .Net field validators (RegularExpressionValidator, RangeValidator, etc.) work fine... after the changes, the modified HTML works correctly but the validators stop functioning. Seems that the onchange handler...

Hello Guys,
I am using the validation controls to validate my data.
But the problem is "The page is still being posted to
server".
I want to get rid of the round trips to server. Are there
any get arounds for this problem apart from the
traditional JavaScript?

I have a table which is bound to an Internet Explorer XML
data island. I'm using ASP.NET's client-side validators
for an input field in the table. The problem is that if
the input fields are in a table that is bound to the
island (such that the rows are dynamically generated by IE
from the XML data island), the validators do not work. If
the table is not bound, the validators do work, but then I
don't have the table iterating through...

I want to know if ASP.NET Web Forms Validation Controls are Server-Side or
Client-Side form validation? Since I think each validator control can select
either 1) JavaScript based error dialog or 2) show the error message next to
the control. For example, if the text field is empty with RequiredField
Validator control, it can show the value in ControlToValidate property in
two ways as I mentioned.
Please advise. Thanks!

I wanted my "Terms and Conditions" Checkbox control to participate in my
ASP.NET validation just like all the the other controls on the page. After
some time of searching the web for an example of how to do this, I created
the script to do it and thought I would share it. Its a littel messy but
does the job. If anyone has a better solution, please let me know.

Hi,
I've been struggling with this for a few days. I've seen bits and pieces
(how to set up custom validation), but I can't seem to understand how to get
client side validation for my custom composite control (the textbox part).
I've done a ton of vbnet, am new to aspnet, but barely know how to spell
java. Anyone know of a good website or tutorial for this kind of thing?
TIA

Hi
I have some regex validators on my page set to dynamic and like the way they
appear after you tab out of a field and also when you try to postback the
form.
All OK so far
When I register for the client side event of a textbox using ...
textBox.Attributes.Add("onKeyUp","javascriptfunction");

Hello all,
Here is a quick version of my problem. I have a website that
consists of 4 ASPX pages. Every field is required by default, but on
pages 1 and 2, there are several fields that can be disabled based on
answers to questions. (Ex. If they have been at their current address
for over two years, then they are not required to fill out the previous
address information). It all works great, except that when I go back to
page 1 from page...

I'm experimenting with dynamically inserting custom composite Web server
controls onto a page. For testing purposes I have two custom composite Web
server controls that each have a couple of TextBox controls and a "submit"
button, as well as required field validators for each of the textboxes.
What I'm finding is that when both of these Web server controls appearon the
page, clicking on the "submit" button of either of the controls causes...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
