I have functions defined in an xml-rpc server. Some functions query to
a Postgres database (using adodb) and return its recordset. So, if some
xml-rpc client runs the mentioned function, it will retrieve the
recordset. The problem is that if a retrieved field has the Null value
or the Date value (DateTime Database format), then, the retrieved
recordset in the python program will have the 'None' value or the
DateTime type...

I am facing a simple problem. I have a method which accepts two
parameters. Both are of type DateTime.
However when calling this method there are times when the caller does
not have a value of DateTime with it. I tried calling the method with
null params but that didn't work because DateTime is a struct.

My problem deals w/inserting nulls into database (SQL Svr 2K) for the
datetime fields activityDate and followUpDate where nulls are allowed.
>From the web form, the user can type in/select the activity or followup
date.
If, for this exercise, the followupdate textfield is empty, then when
the insert method of the class calls the InsertActivityLog stored
procedure, how can I get nulls inserted instead of 1/1/1900 because of

since the DateTime can't be assign null, the min value is set to 1901 or
something, if in a application design, the date field can be null, so in
between the UI and the DB, the business logic has to take care of the
conversion?? e.g when inserting DateTime.minvalue into db, (especially when
using store precedure, it seems that pass null parameter to a store
precedure cause problem.), the store procedure must translate the minvalue...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
