Smartnavigation and EditItemIndex problem

I have a datalist with an itemedittemplat e. When I have smartnavigation on,
I can't exit out from edit mode with EditItemIndex = -1. When
smartnavigation is off, everything works fine. I know smartnavigation has
problems. It seems this is one of them.

I am thinking of simulating smartnavigation using anchor links. Anyone had
success with them?

I've got a long page (user requirement) with a datagrid on the second scrolled page. I've got smartnavigation on and it works fine for everything else on the page, but if I click a sort header or an item edit on the datagrid, postback puts me back to the top of the page. Any way I can get smartnavigation to work for a postback triggered by from a datagrid?

Has anyone found a reasonable way to emulate smartnavigation functionality for any browser? I'd really like to avoid creating history entries when posting back to the same page. SmartNavigation takes care of the annoying problem caused by creating a new history entry when a page posts to itself. Only Internet Explorer will support this functionality. When SmartNavigation is enabled the client executes javascript code from the SmartNav.js...

I have encountered a very strange problem that makes it look like the page is not recreated in entirety after a postback when I turn on smartnavigation. If I click on a server control, the page is returned blank. I have a JavaScript routine displaying a session countdown in the browser statusbar that continues counting without resetting as it normally would after a postback. An error icon is displayed in the browser statusbar after the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
