I have a fairly simple form with databound text boxes, but changes (or new
records) are not recognized. The text boxes are successfully populated with
data (from the database) and I can cycle through all the records. Using a
datagrid works fine for updating.
I've based this on the first sample project from the book "C# Professional
Projects" (Premier Press). I've read many posts concerning this (and the MS
KB as well), and most seem...

Hi,
Could some1 please tell me what the best way is to adjust the value of
a column in my databound datagrid (in ASP.NET)
For example my database returns the values 1,2 and 3 in the column
Priority. But 1,2 and 3 actually represent "Low", "Medium" and "High".
So instead of a column filled with 1,2,3's I want a column filled with
Low,Medium,High's. How do I do that??

I am brand new to ASP.NET and am now required to take over maintenance of a
..NET/C# web application. On one of the pages I'm working on there is a
DataGrid which has multiple columns. One of the columns is not databound and
instead has up to three hyperlinks in it (Edit, Award, and Cancel). A couple
of the hyperlinks should not be shown in certain cases. Now, mind you, I
don't know if it's being done in the way that's best to do it. It...

Hi, I hope some one can help with this. I have a basic webform with 2
DropDownLists and a single DataGrid. What I am trying to do is populate the
first DDList from a dataset on Form_Load. I then want to use this 1st DDList
to populate the 2nd DDList via the SelectedIndexChange Event.
So far so good. all works up to this point.
The next thing I'm trying to do is to use the 2nd DDList value in a queery
to populate the Datagrid also...

I have a combobox that is very much like the one found in the RSS
project here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualCSharp/learning/
My projectNameComboBox basically is filled with a list of values from a
table, and as the user selects values, a datagrid displays related
records from another table because it is bound via FK relationship.
My table:
/****** Object: Table . Script Date: 06/19/2006

It seems every time I try to use the GridView to do what I used to do with
the DataGrid I run into differences that make me want to got back to the
datagrid. for instance...
the DataGrid ItemDataBound event was a very valuable event to customize
binding. We could refer to the item at being bound by referencing
e.item.whatever.
Now with the GridView there is a "DataBound" event but item is no longer a
property! In fact there are no...

How do I update the value of a databound column within my datagrid from
within the SelectedIndexChanged event of a dropdownlist, also found within my
datagrid?
I believe I need to determine the row I'm on but I don't know how to get that.

Hello:
Does anyone know how I can create a multi-column listbox in VB.Net
(Windows)...I am using VS.Net 2003.
If there is another control available that can be databound with multiple
columns, I would be interested in looking into that as well.
Here is the code I have (it cannot display multiple columns)...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
