What I am trying to do is use customValidator to go to a database via a stored procedure and fish out a UserName value. If it finds it, I want it to return 1 and if not I want it to return 0. Hi.
I am fighting the CustomValidator strange behavior for second day already.
I created some test project which is only to reproduce the problem.
1. I created UserControl which has an only a Custom Validator
2. in UserControl::Page_Load i set
CustomValidator1.IsValid = false;
3. I insert the User Control into the page and have a submit button there.

Hi,
I have two pairs of a DropDownList and TextBox Controls and for each pair I
have a CustomValidator that makes sure that at least one of the two
(DropDownList or TextList) has a value.
When I submit the form, the OnServerValidate method for the first pair of
controls (DropDownList and TextList) fires, but for the second pair does not.
It make no sense, both pairs look exactly the same to me.
