Errormessage in CustomValidator

Hi,
I´m using a server function in a CustomValidator control
to verify a field date content before an insert process.
What should I do to avoid the continuation of the process
when the errormessage occurs ?

Hi All. What I am trying to do is use customValidator to go to a database via a stored procedure and fish out a UserName value. If it finds it, I want it to return 1 and if not I want it to return 0. On the ASP.NET page I have a field called user_username that customValidator is pointing to as a control to validate. The subroutine for the validator and my stored procedure are below. I now have 37 instances of the username = pkorolev and I get...

Hi. I am fighting the CustomValidator strange behavior for second day already. I created some test project which is only to reproduce the problem. 1. I created UserControl which has an only a Custom Validator 2. in UserControl::Page_Load i set CustomValidator1.IsValid = false; 3. I insert the User Control into the page and have a submit button there.

When using a ASP.NET CustomValidator, which runs client- side javascript, and using other ASP.NET validators (i.e. RequiredField, Compare, etc.) the <script language="javascript" src="http://servername/aspnet_client/system_web/1_0_3705_0/ WebUIValidation.js"></script> tag needed for the other .NET validators to work is not rendered. On other pages without the ASP.NET CustomValidator that tag is rendered. This is the only difference we...

Hello, I have added a "CustomValidator" control in in code to a control which is already on the footer. I am running the validation for the control at the server. My problem is that when the event fires, the "sender" being passed is the the "CustomValidator" control, and in order to validate the information, I really need access to the control that it is validating. The control it is validating is a DropDownList control and I want to...

Hi I am using a customvalidator to perform server validation of user input in webform1. When the user input has been validated, webform1 (which has the customvalidator and the user input) opens a new window (by adding a script to the web page that opens a new window by using response.write), redirects to webform2 in the new window. If user input is invalid, the error message of the customvalidator is displayed on webform1 and there is no...

Hi, I have two pairs of a DropDownList and TextBox Controls and for each pair I have a CustomValidator that makes sure that at least one of the two (DropDownList or TextList) has a value. When I submit the form, the OnServerValidate method for the first pair of controls (DropDownList and TextList) fires, but for the second pair does not. It make no sense, both pairs look exactly the same to me. The only difference is that the second...

Hi. I created a new class where I defined some shared methods. One of these methods (called IsInvalidKey) is a generic function that I wants to use with several customvalidator controls. In my .aspx page I defined an imports for my shared class: <%@ Import namespace="Webfinder.Helper" %> And for my customvalidator control I have:

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
