Hello, I have run into a strange situation. I have a control in which I am trying to sort the datasource of a repeater and bind the arraylist data back to the repeater. Whenever I do this I get an error stating that there were multiple controls with the same id. The stack trace shows the following: System.Web.UI.Control.BuildProfileTree(String parentId, Boolean

I'm fighting a really strange bug that involves both a DataGrid and a Repeater disappearing on postback. The strange thing is that I've distilled the problem down to a simple program, that originally could reproduce the problem, but now can't, even as I add complexity back in. The basic scenario is a custom DataGrid (just make a class that derives from DataGrid) that has a LinkButton in a HeaderTemplate that has a CommandName="sort"...

I am creating an app that lists clients of a company for management of different attributes for that company. The first page is a listing of the companies currently in the database. I have my repeater working, and paging/sorting works, but there is a small bug that I can't seem to figure out. If, for example, I display 5 records per page, the paging function executes fine, and only shows 5 records per page. This is no problem. When I...

Hello, I have a page in which I'm trying to give the user the chance to manipulate a list of items. These are the price variations for a product, so each item consists of a name (eg, small, medium, large), a price, a checkbox to say whether or not the variation is on special offer and a special price. I can pull the values out of the database OK and display them in a repeater. What I want to do is have a set of controls below the...

Hi, I have a list up to 100 records. I can use the datagrid with the pager functionality. But I can also use a repeater with a self made pager control. What is the best and why? I think the repeater is faster and at the moment I don't see any reason to use the other functionality of the datagrid. Do I forget something important? ... maybe the data sorting functionality.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
