Hi,
I'm working on a Windows applicaton with VS 2003 on windows 2000. I have a
listbox that I have binded to a dataset table, "source" which has 3 columns.
I would like to display 2 of those columns, "scode" and "sname", as 1 column
(if not possible then 2 columns will be fine) in the listbox. Can the
listbox display 2 columns information from the dataset and how can I do that?
Also, I set the property of the listbox to selectionmode...

Hi,
I tried to use a listbox to display a column in MS Access 2000 nwind.mdb by
using ole DataAdapter, Connection and dataset controls. But I got "It is
already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view
its data." I put ole DataAdapter, Connection and dataset controls and fill
in the properties of the listbox. The only code I have is
OleDbDataAdapter1.Fill(DataSet11, "employees") in page_load sub. How can I...

Hi,
Is the datalist meant for one table or can I use it to display information
from 2 different tables? Or should I be looking at a datagrid instead?
I began my code and kinda ran into a snag where my last two columns I am
displaying are ID fields, one for clientid and the other for empid.
What I would really like is to display their actual names instead of the
ids.

I cannot get my OleDbDataAdapter to update my database
table from my local dataset table. The Knowledge Base
doesn't seem to help - see item 10 below.
I have a Microsoft Access 2000 database which indexes
computer magazine articles for personal reference.
I am developing a Visual Basic.NET program whose sole
purpose is to enter new records into the database. No
updates to existing entries, no deletions, and no display

With this code, the config file(listed below) opens initially into the
datagrid display with only a plus sign '+'.
On clicking that, it becomes expanded to;
-
appsettings
add
When I click on appsettings, it reverts back to '+' On clicking that,
- appsettings add is displayed
Finally, when I click on appsettings this time, the contents of the config

Hello,
I'm trying to fill my combobox per code, not with a DataSet because I
want to have an empty row in it and this wasn't possible when working
with a DataSet. The fill works fine, but when I set the value and
display member I get false values.
string sConn = @"Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data
Source=C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\KosiorekA\Eigene Dateien\VS2005
Projects\CromaRENT\CromaRENT-DB\CromaRENT-DB.mdb";

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
