Invoking ASP method from JavaScript

I'm trying to invoke a method in ASP from JScript page (OnClick or anything similar to it) on the same related .aspx page with no success.

can someone please explain me how something like that can be done?

Not quite sure exactly what you're looking for, but if (for example) you want to click a button on the ASP page from javascript, try this:

document.GetElemenyByID("mybutton").click;

that will call the server side mybutton_OnClick() code
