how to create bilingual application in Classic ASP.

1 New Member
Hi all,

I have an application created in Classic ASP with MS SQL SERVER 2005. The thing is that, I have required to make it bilingual i.e. English and Arabic.

Can anyone help me to define me the steps regarding how I'll make it bilingual.

Best Regards,
Ahmed

that is a loaded question. For starters you would have to modify your database to respond to this

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. [Database table_FAQ]
  2. FAQ_ID (number)
  3. FAQ_question_english (text)
  4. FAQ_question_arabic (text)
  5. ...
  6.
then your scripts would use either a query parameter (index.asp?lang =e) to identify the desired language or a session variable could be set on a click.

From there your script would pick the appropriate value to reflect the desired language.

Greetings: I had seen several posts around the Internet about this issue from a few months back, but have been unable to find a resolution ... I have a user who is trying to get started with Visual Studio.NET 2003. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the Product.... then we did a complete cleanout of development products, re-installed IIS, and reinstalled JUST Visual Studio.NET 2003 with Framework 1.1 (no more 2002 edition or...

Using VS2005 to create an application compatible with framework 1.1 Is this possible ? I like the VS2005 IDE a lot much more than VS2003, however, I'm creating a library that needs to be compatible with frm 1.1. At the begining, I started to use the VS2005 IDE and I thought it could not be a problem, however, when I recreated a project with VS2003 and joined all the pieces I found that I was using stuff not available before, though I...

Is there a way to add an asp.net non-application subfolder through visual studio .net 2003? In the solution manager, I'm able to right click on the asp.net project and add a new folder, but it creates an application folder by default. I can change this through IIS, but this causes problems the next time I attempt to open the solution -- visual studio .net complains about not being able to read the contents of the folder. Any ideas...

Hi, can you guide me, which MS technologies are suitable to create drawing application (simple CAD application) on the web - to allow 2D/3D drawing on some canvas and use data stored on server (in some databases)? The resulting application can be either embedded on the web page or runnable directly from the web page - if it is possible with minimal depending installations on client computer. I know about Flash, Director or Java3D...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
