I have a phonebook application that works fine only if
the search criteria was set to limited groups or
locations, I recieve this error:
Response object error 'ASP 0251 : 80004005'
When I request huge data or all of the records.
What do you suggest to solve the problem, Is displaying
the results in different pages will solve the problem?
and if it is how to do it in ASP.
Thanks for help in advance. 3 16284 http://www.aspfaq.com/2120

Hi All,
I'm trying to run a simple query from an ASP page. I want the query to
select each individual field in a table and compare it to another table. If
the value doesn't exist, I want it reported. Here's the code I have to do
this check:
'Check to see if there are any assemblies not in the database!
strSQL = "select substring(mtoc,2,6) as deadmodel from bos_data where
substring(bos_data.mtoc,2,6) not in (select code from...

I have an ASP page which is returning so much data that I'm receiving a
message that the Response Buffer Limit has exceeded its configured values.
Any idea where to find this configured value so I can set it higher?
Thanks,

Hi All,
I have an SQL Server 2000 table that contains less than 2000 records. I
would like to select some of these records and group them. The query I
wrote runs fine in SQL Server's Query Analyzer, but when I run it in an ASP
page, I get:
Response object error 'ASP 0251 : 80004005'

I had a download failure problem with a 95MB wmv file. I thought it was my
code
but I could not find anything wrong. So I tested the download by replacing
the 95MB
file with a smaller one (20MB). It worked fine. When I contacted my hosting
company
this is what they told me.

I usually try to stay away from _alloca(). However, I'm considering using it
for a logging function. Our current logging function maintains its own
buffer which it grows to fit the string being logged. To work correctly in a
multi-threaded environment there are locks around the code which log the
string. We could remove the locks and just allocate on the heap, but then we
could run into heap contention and heap fragmentation. We could...

Hi,
I really need you help because I'm not very familliar with ASP and I
could not find any solution to my problem.
To put you in situation, I have a CGI to which I send a file name, and
that script return me that file. But for security reason, I don't want
to publish the address of this CGI, so I encapsulated it in an ASP
file. This way, only this ASP file knows where the CGI is.

I have an ASP app that we've moved from a Windows 2000 to a Windows
2003 server (sql server 2000 to sql server 2005). The job runs fine on
the old servers.
Part of the app takes a recordset and response.writes out comma
delimited strings so that the results are opened in Excel or saved to a
flat file.
Basically, it looks something like this like this:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
