Yogesh,

I don't understand why you need to have a windows application and multiple instances of a form in order to upload a resume. Is this a homework assignment?

Hi yogesh,

Just to clarify (please correct me if I am wrong as your English is not the best in the world):
You are tasked with creating a web application that will upload resumes.
When a resume is submitted, this web application has to run a desktop application that saves the resume somewhere (file system, database, it is irrelevant at this stage).

If I am right so far, then as I understand it you have already created this web/desktop application pair. And now you need to know how to load-test it.
From where I'm standing it's quite simple - get a bunch of your friends to submit their resumes through it 10 times each, at the same time - if you have 5 friends that can do this then it's a good start!

Best regards,

I have 30 - 40 type of different window. For each type I need about 20 instances of the window. When I try to create them, I get "Error creating window handle" My guess is there is a maximum number of window handle, because if I reduce to about 2 instances of each window, it can run. But not 20 instances of each window. Does anyone know what the problem is? is it really because it exceeds the maximum number of window handle?

Hi, I'm pretty new to C#, and I'm quite stuck on the following problem. I would like to add to my application a Windows.Form (singleton) on which I could display a message of one of the following type : Exception, Error, Warning, Infos (with differents colors, etc). I would like to use it like the Console.WriteLine("My Message"); on everywhere in my application.

Hi I keep getting the error "Error Creating Windows Handle" in my application and different places in the code. This occurs only to certain users. Its very random and cannot be reproduced in the development environment. I have an applicatin error logger which shows this error occuring (in the stack trace dump) but it again occurs at different locations in the code and occurs inconsistently. My application is a windows forms...

I just finished a WinForms app in VB.NET. I want to allow the user to be able to run multiple instances of the program like you can with Notepad and Wordpad. The way it is now, once I run the executable I can not run another instance as long as the first instance is running. How can I change this behavior? Thanks.

What is the memory footprint of static methods of a windows app running on a server when the server spins up multiple instances of the application? In my envirionment, we have a Citrix server farm running .Net 2.0 windows apps. Does the framework allow for instances of the same application to access the same memory space where static methods are stored (assuming the security context is the same for each instance)?

I'm trying to get my feet wet in VB2005 (our new standard at work after officially stopping new development in VB6 about a month ago). I'm working with a simple sql 2005 table of 50 entries, one for each state. Each entry contains Name, postal abbreviation, etc. Just simple stuff to understand the mechanisms, syntax, etc. I'm now to the point where I've got a Master MDI form that opens one or more types of forms, I'm able to edit/save...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
