Hi - (This is my very first post)
I have gotten to this point of registering to post because I have been
spinning my wheels so long, I believe I am all caught up in the weeds.
(and mud)
I have a form, that has several tabs. On one tab, I have a subform
(wr_completion_subform). This subform is bound to a table
(wr_completion_table).
On the subform, I have a button from which I have added code to email
a report of the completion data...

Variable scope doesn't make sense to me when it comes to Try Catch Finally.
Example: In order to close/dispose a db connection you have to dim the
connection outside of the Try Catch Finally block. But, I prefer to dim them
"on the fly" only if needed (save as much resources as possible). A little
further... I may wish to create a sqlcommand and datareader object ONLY if
certain conditions are met. But, if I want to clean these up in the...

We are running an ASP.NET application on a cluster of 3 web-servers, using
the Network Load Balancing feature of Application Center. We have
synchronized the machineKey in machine.config on the 3 web-servers, so we
can utilize a random algorithm for server selection for requests. The
application does not use either session state or application state.
We recently upgraded to .NET Framework 1.1 (including the hotfix for the

I searched the groups and tried several approaches but still cannot
find a solution.
I have a table that has several hundred fields that may or may not
need to be displayed in a report, depending on whether they are NULL
or not. (Due to limitations of out software, the table needs to be
designed this way)
The data needs to be displayed like this:

Hello All,
I am developing an Input Methop (IM) for PocketPC / Windows Mobile (PPC/WM).
On some
devices the IM will not start. The IM appears in the IM-List but when it is
selected from the list athe result is that the standard (QWERTY) keyboard
appears.
I found that many ( all?) ISV's who make IM's have customers reporting this
problem. My research on the internet brought me to the conclusion it is some

Hi,
I've written the code that follows, and I use the function add_word(),
it seems to work fine
*before* increase_arrays() is called that uses realloc() to allocate
more memory to words. But *after* calling increase_arrays(), I
received segmentation fault. I tried to step it through gdb, and I
found out that after calling increase_arrays(), words's original
value is modified, and if I tried to access it, I get <address 0x11
out of...

I am having some trouble configuring my array to read from a sequential file, and then calling on that to fill an array of interests. I think I have the class set up to read the file, but when I run my program the rates array does not get the information. I think my problem is where I am actuall calling the array index, but I am not sure how to do this. Here is my code:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
