Hi All
I want to upload either image or word document into either access or
SQL server database
so far I am doing some small testings and what I can do is upload the
file from first page and display at the next
page with (both image or word are working fine).
however, I cann't insert them into the database, Plus, what type
should I use in access database?

I'm using Microsoft's own VB.NET FTP Example:

I can get the program to create directories, change directories, etc.,
but I can't get it to upload a file to the FTP server. I just get a
"Cannot connect to remote server" error after this TRY:

user should be able to download all of the data that they have input
into the system and save it to a file on their local PC. Then at some

I am working on an application and the customer would like the ability for
users to attach / upload a Word document. This document will be stored on
the web server directly into SQL and later be viewed by the customer after
being replicated across a SQL Server.
I am not too worried about virus risks on the web server since the upload
will be saved directly to SQL but what are my risks on the desktop machines
