Hi,
I would like to parse out each value that is seperated
by a comma in a field and use that value to join to another table.
What would be the easiest way to do so without having to
write a function or routine ?
EX.
Table AAA
COL1 COL2

Hello All,
I'm trying to parse for a numeric string from a column in a table. What
I'm looking for is a numeric string of a fixed length of 8.
The column is a comments field and can contain the numeric string in
any position
Here's an example of the values in the column
1) Fri KX 3-21-98 5:48 P.M. arrival Cxled ATRI #27068935 3-17-98

Hi,
My page has a table with many columns such that the right-side of the
table gets chopped off when printed. I specify a table width of 100%,
but otherwise no cell dimensions are specified. The culprits are 2 wide
columns which contain e-mail addresses.
I can get the page to fit entirely on the printer output if the browser
would break the e-mail address string at the '@' symbol. What I've done
for now is replaced the '@' in all...

How can I write an update query that removes part of a field? Like if I
have a field with values such as 8/3/68 (a birthday obviously) and I need
to put values in a new column but I need everything after and including the
final / removed to end up with simply 8/3

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to write a program that does a few things very fast
and with efficient use of memory...
a) I need to parse a space-delimited file that is really large,
upwards fo a million lines.
b) I need to store the contents into a unique hash.
c) I need to then sort the data on a specific field.
d) I need to pull out certain fields and report them to the user.

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to parse/format a memo field within a report.
The Access 2000 database (application) has an equipment table that
holds a memo field. Within the report, the memo field is printed within
the detailed area. The problem is, the apllication is not setup
properly, thus the users are entering data within the memo field as:
location1 1/1/2005 1/1/2006

Hi, I am new to ASP but have what should be a fairly simple task that I
can't figure out.
I need to parse a string from a single, semi-colon delimited, 60 character
field (el_text) in a recordset and display the results in a table on a
webpage (ASP)
I can retrieve the recordset from the database and display the field data
results in rows of a table but have the entire 60 character string in one
cell. I need to break that string apart...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
