Hi can anyone help
I have a web site that has a products database attached which I’m currently uploading new product details and images, the thing is, I’m trying to do this whenever I find the time and it’s not always convenient to logon to the internet.
What I’d like to do, is to be able to add the new product details and images offline and at a later date upload the info (database) to my web server, the front end is in asp and the backend is access.
I've tried to do this, but found that I can't view the asp pages offline, pls advise on how to do this. I’m a total novice, so pls describe each step kindergarten style.
Thank you in advance

For an e-commerce site, I'm wanting to have it pull 4 random images
for the front page from a select list of items from the DB.
I can get it to pull randomly and place the images, but I can't figure
out how to keep it from potentially repeating images; using the same
one more than once.
The best I can come up with is the following...which makes duplicates
a little less common, but certainly doesn't stop it.
I'm wondering what piece of...

Hello,
I have a problem that I have not been able to solve, even after
searching the web. I have stored couple of images in the MySQL database
and I am trying to get them displayed on a web page with PHP.
Now, before we go any further, I want to make it clear that I am very
aware of the current debate about storing images in the database. I
understand both sides, however this is something I want to do for fun,
as well as good learning.

Hi All,
I would like to know if there is a way to upload an image and text into
an Access database using asp. I have a web site hosted on a web server which
doesn't accept to install components. If anybody knows some sample code (in
case this is possible), a link or some code would be welcome.
Any reply is appreciated.
Regards,
Nicolae

Hi Folks,
I am about to start on a project where I will need to store a large
amount of images and details about images. SQL seemed a natural
choice for this, but I was a little unsure about how to store the
image itself.
From reading around I have found that there are two techniques that
people normally chose for this sort of work:

Currently, when I want to display an image from a database in my
website, I reference another page with a query string argument of that
image's unique ID in the table. Then that other page grabs the image
and the content type from the database and writes it out to the client.
However, this model seems to be a bit heavy on database overhead when
dealing with a page with many such images. For example, a page which
lists all users on a...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
