I'm building a site where I need to pull very large blocks from a database.
I would like to make navigation a little more user friendly by splitting
text in pages which can then be navigated. I know how to split a string in
chunks, but I need to find a method to make sure the text isn't split in the
middle of a word.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

I have a text file that appears to be delimited by multiple spaces. The
split function will only work with one space if I am correct. Is there some
way to split this file into an array without getting the extra spaces?

Can you do a search for more that one string in another string?
Something like:
someString.IndexOf("something1","something2","something3",0)
or would you have to do something like:
if ((someString.IndexOf("something1",0) >= 0) ||
((someString.IndexOf("something2",0) >= 0) ||

I am new to c# and I am currently trying to make a program to retrieve
Battlefield 2 game stats from the gamespy servers. I have got it so I
can retrieve the data but I do not know how to cut up the data to
assign each value to its own variable. So right now I am just saving
the data to a txt file and when I look in the text file all the data is
there.
Not sure if this matters but when I open the text file in Word pad
(Rich Text) It...

Hi,
I need to be able to split large string variables into an array of
lines, each line can be no longer than 70 chars.
The string variables are text, so I would additionally like the lines
to end at the end of a word, if you catch my drift.
For example, I have a large string variable containing the text:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire

Well, Outlook seems to be making my life more and more challenging.
Categories are added in one field and are delimmited via comma. Have
three questions on this one...
The first is right now my query will only check the first characters
in the field to confirm whether they match the original split I did
with the other code I showed under VBA breakout (you'll notice I used
the code in the part I show here for part two and three of this...

I need to split a string whenever a separator string is present (lets
sey #Key(val) where val is a variable) and rejoin it in the proper
order after doing some processing.
Is there a way to use the Regex.Split function to split the string
whenever the #Key(val) occurrs but that keeps the #Key(val)
occurrences to that I can reconstruct the final string after doing
certain operations on each token (I need to basically convert each
string...

We have a database of books, which includes a field "Author"
Authors are listed like:
Annabel Langbein
Alison Holst
Fred Reichelman
I would like to create a table of authors with seperate fields for
FirstName and LastName based on the table above (some 2000 + authors).

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
