problem with reading forms

2 New Member
Hello group, first time here. I have question regarding reading form post variables. I have a forms processor that dynamically reads a form, for example:

For x = 1 To Request.Form.co unt()
item = Request.Form.ke y(x)
rstData = Request.Form.it em(x)
.....
adds item & rstdata to a list
.....
Next

This works well expect for form values that have been updated via javascript. For example, I have a field that if updated, updates several other fields with the same value via Javascript.

Eg.:

if (chkradio==1)
{
document.xyz.m2 name.value = document.xyz.m1 name.value;
}

The field m2name gets updated but problem is that ASP doesn't seem to pick up the fields that have been updated by javascript using the method above.

This runs on a windows server.

I want to keep the form processor dynamic so does anyone know why it doesn't read fields updated via Javascript?

Perhaps this is a design flaw, please let me know. I'm using Access 2000. I have a form with a tab control and 5 subforms within those tabs. The forms match with the tables: Client main, Intake, Financial, Fees, Payments, Bills, Bill Line Items. The design works thusly - Client Main relates to Intake. Intake relates to financial. Financial relates Fees, Payments and Bills. Bills relates to Bill Line Items. On the form, I use the...

For some reason, when I click the X to close my MDI parent form, the action appears to be re-directed to one of the MDI child forms, and the parent remains open. I am then unable to close the application. What should happen, is that the main MDI form should close, taking the child forms with it. There is code to loop through the child forms, remove the controls on each of them, and then close the form, but this code should execute only...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
