what do you mean by call it

you will need to enable port 80 on your firewall and forward it to the right ip address.

Configure your firewall to accept traffics on port 80, forward the traffic to your web server's IP address. Good luck & Take care.

I have the simple Hello World web service running in debug mode on my development machine (XP Pro SP2). I'm using VS2005. I'm able to access it from my machine. When I try to access it from another machine (also XP pro SP2), using the URL: "http://nav:24035/WebServ/Service.asmx?op=HelloWorld", I get a "Cannot find server or DNS Error" error. There is no firewall on either machine. Windows firewalls are disabled. I'm able to access this...

We have two web service machines. Call one WS1 and the other WS2. They are seperated by a firewall. WS1 handles web service calls and also calls web services provided by WS2. Both machines do not get updated or restarted very often. The problem is after some period of time, the web service call from WS1 (within the ASP.NET process) to WS2 hangs and times out. If I go to WS1 and open IE, I can get the WSDL from WS2, and if I use another...

The web service is called by a program running on pocket pc. When to call the web service, the first call is still ok, but for the second or later calls, it will throw "403 Forbidden" WebException. When to test it using the web interface on pocket IE, everything is fine. Before there was no such problem, it only happened within a week or so. I suspect it's caused by the server's firewall settings, but how come the first call is ok? This...

Hello, I have a desktop application writen in VB.NET. I am trying to call a web service through a proxy server. I can make the call without the proxy server, but the web server has IP filtering and my IP address has to be loaded into the firewall every time it changes (it's dynamic). I'm trying to find a way that I can do the call through a proxy server so the IP the request comes from will always be the same. I have access to a proxy...

I have a .NET 2.0 WinForms based application that that has a few web references. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
