I want to convert one bitmap file to another one.
For example load as bmp and save as jpg.
The loading part is simple I do this:
Stream BitmapStream =
File.Open(sSrcFile,FileMode.Open,FileAccess.Read,FileShare.None);
Bitmap imgPhoto=new Bitmap(BitmapStream);
iPixelsX=imgPhoto.Width;
iPixelsY=imgPhoto.Height;
BitmapStream.Close();

Okay, I have two identical web servers running Windows 2003 web
server. I have an ASP.NET application which runs great on one of
them. Dedicated IP address, behind our firewall, etc. Everyone's
happy.
Now -- how do I take advantage of that second computer to
"load-balance" the web site? Will it really give my users a noticable
performance increase? How do you accomplish this? I've read many of
those MS articles and it's...

Hi All,
As you know, I've made the switch from Access/Jet to MSDE 2K. And I'm now
encountering my first little problem. I have some pictureboxes that display
images from the DB. For each picturebox, I have some buttons (Add/Change
Image, Rotate Image, Delete Image) and a context menu (Copy/Paste, Open,
Edit, and Preview). For open, Edit, and Preview, I'm creating a temporary
file on disk, then writing the file back to the DB and deleting...

Hello,
I am testing a web application (using the DBX PHP function to call a
Postgresql backend).
I have 375Mb RAM on my test home box.
I ran ab (apache benchmark) to test the behaviour of the application
under heavy load.
When increasing the number of requests, all my memory is filled, and the
Linux server begins to cache and remains frozen.
ab -n 100 -c 10 http://localsite/testscript

I've got a small sockets application where I communicate with a web server
via async sockets method.
Using the ASCIIEncoding Class, I convert strings to byte arrays (and vice
versa) in conjunction with beginSend and beginReceive (and their
corresponding callbacks). So long as the web server and I just deal in
text, life is easy.
Now there's an image I want to request and then display in my app, it's a
dynamic PNG image that's...

programmatically and i would like to process some of the files inside
them before the user can save it. we have a lot of copies of winzip.
winzip does not let me call their functions as COM or as .NET

Hi,
Is there an alternative to an URI location when loading html into a
webBrowser control.
I have some html generated in a string. I would like to skip saving the
string to a file on disk and then loading it from disk into webbrowser with
its Navigate() method. Is there a direct (string -browser) method instead?.
Thanks.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
