Writing Batch file to Response.Write

Security issues, warning messages, etc., aside,
what MIME-type combination do I need for and ASP to write a BAT file to the response stream?
e.g.
Response.Clear
Response.Conten tType = "applicatio n/octet-stream"
Response.AddHea der "Content-Disposition", "attachment;fil ename=message.b at"
Response.Write( "net send COMPUTER2 success")
Response.End()
This code does not work!
Which is surprising because in my current config, the following html works fine, and executes on the shell:
<A href="message.b at">test</A>
