Hello!
This is the first time I need to connect via PHP to a Sybase DB.
I'm working with PHP5 and Apache 2 under WinXP... no problem
connecting with Mysql...
I enabled in php.ini the correct dll: "php_sybase_ct.dll" but when I
restart Apache got this error:
PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\php\php_sybase_ct.dll'
- Can't find the specified module

I am developing a website in ASP that connects to a Sybase database.
However, when I try to open a connection to the database the page will not
load. The script does not timeout, nor the connection. Further, the Sybase
server shows no connection. Because the page is hanging I am unable, with my
limited knowledge, to query the error collection.

I connect to a microsoft SQL server from php. Php is running on linux
(debian sarge) with the freetds package.
The connection is secured through stunnel (version 3.26), with stunnel
running locally on the web server and locally on the SQL server
machine.

I am running INSERT INTO queries using ODBC connections to grab data
from 3 different Sybase servers. 2 of these servers are remote and use
an ISDN on demand connection to connect. My queries work fine but my
connections are not terminating. I "Close" the ADODB.Connection and
set it to "Nothing". Only terminating Access will release the
connection.
This is a problem because the connection being open keeps the ISDN

I'm trying to access a Sybase database using Visual .net C#
using the code below.
I've added the Sybase data provider to the references (DDTek.Sybase)
and added them to the program usage. Howver it fails to connect and
gives an Unhandled exception of type "DDTek.Sybase.SybaseException' occured in
ddtek.sybase.dll
I can connect using the sybase SQL advantage with no problems.

I was thinking about making an application that would both interface
with an older Sybase database (ASA 9.0) and LDAP to do some grunt
work.
My plan is that the Sybase DB holds all the user information and I
want to cross check it with the LDAP directory to make sure that all
the users that exist in the Sybase DB have an LDAP entry so that both
hold the same information.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
