sending Http request through WINHTTP component

34 New Member
Hi,
I have an application which is supposed to alert me whenever it gets response status other than 200. How do i make sure that it alerts me only when it has got the response text from the server as ok ie. it has completed sending the request using winhttprequest object not when its still under the loading stage.

Could any one please help me out with this!!!
Many thanks

I have a SelectBoxes.asp page that is working with multiple selection dropdown boxes to extract data and total the selection prices. Tom & Bob were kind enough to give me a big help getting this page working and it's working just fine, no problems with this page. However I then would like this data e-mailed using jmail (my host insists on this method) and that is the function of the sendEMail2.asp page. This is failing and only giving...

I am having trouble accessing a web page programmatically from .NET. Our proxy server is determined by a PAC script and all the standard .NET (and WinHttp) proxy techniques don't work for scripts. My current state is that I use the WinInet function 'InternetQueryOptionList' to get the proxy settings. This is working fine, I am able to detect that my IE settings use a PAC script. Next, I try using the WinHttp function...

We have a .NET 1.1 client which is sending a gzipped soap request using HttpWebRequest to an Apache server. The Apache server is using a the 'mod_deflate' server to decompress the incoming message, and to also compress the response (GZIP). The mod_deflate filter requires the 'Content-Length' header contained within the incoming request to specify the number of UNCOMPRESSED bytes being sent and not the actual bytes of the body of the...

Let's say if I want to send a http "Post" request to a url, and check the http status code later. How should I write the code? I have found example to use WinHttp to send "Get" request and check the http status code: ====== Set objWinHttp = CreateObject("WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5") objWinHttp.Open "GET", strURL objWinHttp.Send If objWinHttp.Status <> 200 Then

I need to duplicate the functionality of a java applet, and how it connects to a remote server. But, I don't have the protocol information or the java source code which was written years ago. So, I used a packet sniffer and saw the protocol (TCP), the port, IP address, etc. All is good. I tried 2 different versions of .NET code to duplicate the requests to the remote server. Again, I used the packet sniffer and my packets seemed...

Hi! I'm new (but please do continue reading) to C++ in the VS environment and wanted to create a standalone program (or preferably, a static library, compatible with other Windows compilers) that; 1. Takes an URI as an argument. 2. Prints the proxy for that URI to stdout (or in the static library case, returns the resulting string).

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
