Calling DLL from Active Server Component loses security profile

I have created an Active Server Component (ASC) as a bridge between ASP and
my existing C++ DLLs that we use in our PC-based program. Our intent is to
re-use as much code as possible. But, when I call the ASC from ASP, and
then call the DLL, the security profile that is specified in IIS is no
longer associated with the process, and therefore, any "network-related"
calls fail due to insufficient privileges. I don't know if there is
"another" way to call the DLL from the ASC or not, or any way to
specifically load a DLL with a certain security profile, but I need some
help.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,
Jason Nix

I am almost certain that I could use HTTP Post/Get to submit XML Web Service call (over SSL as well, if using Version 3 of MSXML2) from an ASP Application? However, would I only be able to call web-service in a an asynchronous mode (with a callback function)? If so, how?

Hi there, we are wondering, if it is possible to use the existing capabilities and infrastructure of ADFS to implement Active Requestor Profile. We know, currently ADFS only support Passive Requestor Profile. We have tried to use the ADFS Web service "FederationServerService" to get securtiy token, however, it doesn't work at all. We have also read in the ADFS SDK that this service is not meant to be used in the custom code. Is it...

Hi all. I am working on a legacy application written in Classic ASP with VB6 COM+ components running on Windows 2003 Adv Server (32bit). There is one page in the app that uses Secure FTP to send a file to another application server upon a certain type of data change. The way it works: Anonymous user posts the form - ASP code instantiates the COM+ component which is starting using a Domain User -Calls a method that creates the comma...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
