Hi,
I want to do things this way:
I have a bunch of stuff that I want to keep track of while a user is
connected to the site. Maybe 50 little peices of information.
So I know I can make 50 session variables , or an store an array in a
session variable, but what I wanna do is store it all in a class
so I can use property get and property let.

Hi,
I need to create an array with a session variable.
According to thebook I'm using, the following should work, but if fails:
for each key in request.QueryString
if left(key,6) = "cboRun" then
iIndex = cint(mid (key,7))
response.Write(iIndex & "<br>")

Hi all, I can successfully store an array in a session variable like so:
string arr1 = new string;
Session = arr1;
But, when I try to display the elements (using the code below) on another
page I get this error:
txtmyarray.Text = Session;

Hi all,
My question is more of a phylisophical one here, but I am wondering what
the difference is (effectively and performance wise) between using a
shared variable/static variable and using a session variable.
I have two different applications right now that effectively perform the
same action at one point. In the one application I created a shared
variable:

Here's the sitch:
I read in a csv file with 60000 lines (20 fields per record), and store
the data to a local array. The file is read in and stored just fine and
pretty quick.
Now, if I try to assign that array to a session variable it chokes.
e.g. create array and load each element with a row from the file (btw,
each row is an array as well, using fgetcsv()). When local array is
loaded, I assign to session var as so:
$_SESSION =...

I'm losing information from my Session when I change pages or start the same
page over again. I simplified the code so the example is really clear. The
sample code that follows is supposed to generate a random number and put it
into an Array and store it in the Session variable and then when it runs the
next time, generate another random number and display the entire Array
contents, by pulling the information out of the Session. I'd...

Hello,
I have a web project in Visual Basic 2005. I want to create a session
variable in the "global.asax" file as an array of strings type. The syntax I
use is the following:
Session("MyArray")(10, 10) = ""
but I get an error. I think that I don't know the syntax correctly. Someone
knows it?
Thanks, John.

This is quite a bit of problem I am facing, and I cannot point exactly
where I am going wrong. I have been lurking around at several forums
with regard to login and user authentication scripts and I have got as
far as this:
- Starting a session
- Registering a session variable
- Using the variable to check if the user is authenticated or not.
- Authenticating the user through MySQL database
- Logging of the user, by setting the...

Hi everyone,
I am stuck on something really stupid and simple. Here is what I am
trying to do. Login, check the username and password against db and if
it checks out then check the logged variable session and pass the user
to the next page. Here is a sample of the login process page:
$user = 'test';
$pass = sha1('testpass');
//set the database connection variables
$hostname = "localhost";

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
