IIS 5.0: CreateFolder fails

CreateFolder method does not produce a result from IIS. I
tried many things including changing file permissions, web
server permissions etc. to no avail. Can you please help?

What result were you looking for? What result or error did you get?
What user are you running the app under? If it's the IUSR account, you
need to make sure that user has the ability to create folders in the
specified location. Beyond that, you may have a code error, but
without a snippet, we can't help on that.

Hello everyone, I have an asp page with a create folder script fs.CreateFolder(path) When running this on the server I get a Permission denied message as the IUSER account has no write permission. Does anyone know if I can get this page to login as a different user in order to run this script ?

In the code below I'm trying to create a directory. It works on the production server, but it doesn't on my dev server; I'm running XP Pro, but I don't belong to a domain; I'm running it in a workgroup instead. I've enabled the write option in IIS on the directory. Because I'm not in a domain, there's no security tab on the property dialog for the folder in Windows Explorer, so I can't assign IUSR access right there. Do you have any...

Hi all, This seems like a really simple question but I don't think there is a simple answer. If there is I'd be glad to hear it. I am trying to create a folder, yep, that's all. I can do it with a vbscript but as soon as I put it in an asp page and load the page I get an error 500 message. Basically, I am using... if (not fso.FolderExists("\\ServerName\Clients\c_" & request.Querystring(i))) then

Hi guru's It runs ok on my developmaschine, and on the test server that i've set up. but fails after installing on the customers server. I made a XML webservice that does these steps: a) access a db for updating ( fails on client ) b) saves some associated files (DIMES/SOAP) ( not testet outside development ) c) writes a log file ( fails on client ) I think a and c has to do with setting ISS up correctly on the customers server.

Hi I have a class library that needs to download the HTML in a specific page of ours with provided querystring. When I open this URL with any browser, it loads fine. When I do WebRequest from Web Project it is again fine. However whenever I do this request from this class library, it fails. I put every kind of user permission to the actual folder, and through inetmgr. Right now everyone has full control. But still I got the problem.

Consider my code: if ($this->isSuccessful && is_file($_FILES)) { // STEP 6: MOVE RESUME TO DIRECTORY $uuid = $this->sfug->getUUID(); if (!$uuid) $this->sfug->setUUID(); $uuid = $this->sfug->getUUID();

Hi. When I use CreateFolder() to create a folder with a space at the end, it creates the folder successfully, but still errors out with a "Path not Found" error. For example: <% Dim strCurrentPath

Hello, I have been searching for what createfolder can return or does return. Where on MSDN can I find what a MS method returns? I have searched for filesystemobject.createfolder errors, error codes, error, etc. and cannot find what it returns. The syntax document for the method on MSDN doesn't list what it returns. I need to know what the method can return so I can handle exceptions.

I have a big asp file that has an error under certain conditions -- totally repeatable. However, it only fails when I set response.buffer = True at the top. WHen I set it False in order to debug it, it works every time! I even set it to True, but did a .Flush just before the error, and the error won't happen. It only happens when response.buffer is True and no .response.flush is issued. The error is a string variable turns-up empty...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
