Hi everybody !
I´m maintaining a large intranet (approx 10000 concurrent users) running on
one IIS box and one DB box with sqlserver 2000.
Currently there is 2,5 GB Ram, 1 1400 mhz cpu and 2 scsi disks installed on
the db box.
Sqlserver is set to use max 1,4 GB RAM, and the sqlserver does not seem to
be using it all.

I have a load balanced system that consists of 3 production servers. There
are about 20 different applications that are used on these boxes. One of my
applications in particular is used more than the others. Since updating 2
applications, I have had problems on the event log of the servers, following
stopping of the aspnet_ws.exe process.
Something is causing the following error in the windows application event log:

I've discovered:
Using "File > Print Preview" in a form's datasheet view with a server Filter
crashes access after previewing...
....that is, unless ServerFilterByForm has been turned off after applying the
filter.
See the steps to recreate bug below for details.

When I try to connect to a MS SQL Server 2000 my application always crashes
(without message). In the event log I find the following error:
Faulting application testapp.exe, version 7.2.2368.12623, stamp 449f780f,
faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.42, stamp 4333e7ec, debug? 0,
fault address 0x00046cb1.
When I reinstall the .Net Framework it works for some days but then crashes
again.

Hi,
I have a c++ application which crashes in this line (from the debugger,
I have a segmentation fault here):
void *object = dynamic_cast<void>(aObject);
I have stepped thru the code in debugger and the 'aObject' pointer is
Not null. So can you please tell me, what else can go wrong so that my
program crashes in this line?

I have happily been using Access 2003 sp1 with SourceSafe 6.0d (build
31222) for two years. However, application database is being upsized
to SQL Server 2005, currently sp2 Developer Edition. I can use Source
Safe from the SQL Server database though there were warnings about
encoding. However, Access crashes with 'Microsoft Office Access has
encountered a problem and needs to close' if I try to relink my
checked out tables to SQL Server...

If I'm posting in the wrong group please let me know. We've been experiencing
issues with the print spooler service on our print server running Windows

"The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
