You should find out why your script is timing out. Do you have an endless
look in join.asp? What does the code look like? Does it work in your test
environment?

Should I be looking for a simple coding error in Login/Join.asp or is this
error message just a red herring?. Why would it cause other sites on the
server to stop responding requiring IIS5 to be reset?

When I try to connect to a MS SQL Server 2000 my application always crashes (without message). In the event log I find the following error: Faulting application testapp.exe, version 7.2.2368.12623, stamp 449f780f, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.42, stamp 4333e7ec, debug? 0, fault address 0x00046cb1. I have happily been using Access 2003 sp1 with SourceSafe 6.0d (build 31222) for two years. However, application database is being upsized to SQL Server 2005, currently sp2 Developer Edition. I can use Source Safe from the SQL Server database though there were warnings about encoding. However, Access crashes with 'Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and needs to close' if I try to relink my checked out tables to SQL Server...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
