component i get similair errors, though sometimes it pulls through (once
every so many'th times)

any help/clues would be appreciated

On Windows XP I am able to connect to a remote telnet server from the command prompt using: telnet nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn 23 where nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address of the host. But using telnetlib, this code returns the traceback that follows: import telnetlib host = 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn'

But in other cases, after a few minutes, the next messages is displayed: "The connection with server was reset". Here the code that I use: private void SendPageToBrowser(string filename)

It usually throws one of these 2 errors "Connection with the server was reset" or "Unexpected error has occured". Any idea why this is happening? Hi! Is it correct/safe to define a connection pool in the string "sqlConnectionString" of the "sessionState" section of Web.config? - The application is developed using AspNet 1.1 in a Windows Server 2003. - The AspState DB is defined in a Sql Server 2000 DB on another server. I have added this definition to the Web.config file: <sessionState mode="SQLServer"

Hello All, Some time ago, I implemented a data access layer that included a simple connectin pool. At the time, I did it all by myself: I created N connections, each connection associated with a worker thread that would execute the db commands. The pool was fixed and all the connections were created when the db access class was instantiated. The connections remained opened during the whole execution. If a connection was not available...

Hi, everyone, I'm implementing a simple client/server protocol. Now I've got a situation: client will send server command, header paires and optionally body. server checks headers and decides whether to accept(read) the body. if server decided to throw(dump) the request's body, it'll send back a response message, such as "resource already exists" and close the connection.

I don't get the message so it's hard to debug that, but some of my clients report that they get "The underlying connection was closed unexpectedly" exception. According to this site (http:// www.dotnetspider.com/resources/2596-e-underlying-connection-was-closed-A-connection.aspx), it's a bug of .NET 2.0, and the author suggests that we use KeepAlive=false until Microsoft fixes it. It seems like almost 5 years have passes since the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
