In assembly language you can use a lookup table to call functions.
1. Lookup function address in table
2. Call the function
Like:
CALL FUNCTION

Hello!
I'm developing a web page that has a goal of providing personal
content, which means that all information should be written in their
own language.
I'm about to finish my Geo targeting system that will identify where
the users are coming from based on their IP address, and for this
project I would really like to replace the English country list with a
list of the country in the local language. I'm been around on

I've been reading about how evil Lookup fields in tables are, but I've got
to be missing something really basic. I know this subject has been covered
before, because I've just spent an hour or two reading about it on google,
but there is something I still don't understand, and I'm hoping someone will
be willing to explain it to me in small words.
Let's say I have a table for addresses, and it includes a field for state.
What I would...

Hi,
When should I use a list (in table properties: like
Ford;Mercedes;BMW;Audi )
and when should I use a lookup table??
And second question: IF I use a lookup table, should I always make a
relation (1-to-many) in my relation scheme?
Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm a bit puzzled.

There is a database to lookup all IP address space to country. Pretty cool...
I've used it for my web application and I believe it can be used by C too.

Please advise.
Many thanks in advance,

Hi NG!
I have a problem in my remote application.
After calling a remote function the calculation will be done by the
service. The calculation result will be sent to the caller (client)
via remote event.
The following behavior can be observed:
1.) Right after the start of the server the first response via remote
event will take a long time.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
