Believe it or not, that was a very useful reply. There aren't many
dotnet-knowledgeable people on this list. You were pointed to a place where
there are people who can help you.
Don't bother replying to this. I won't see it.

If you can't be useful enough to see that my reply actually *was*
useful, then *YOU* shut the fcuk up, and maybe consider changing careers to
one thatdoesn't require any useful skills.
Are you sure no changes have been made? Specifically, have you recently
installed the patch for the blaster worm, or more importantly have you
enable tcp/ip filtering (suggested as a mitigating technique for the
virus)? If so, please see "Can't connect to a remote machine because of
RPC issue" section here: http://www.gotdotnet.com/team/csharp...erproblems.doc

P.S. Aaron has mad skills! He's forgotten more about ASP than most of us
will ever learn, myself included. Therefore if the above resolves your
issue, you owe Aaron an apology. Actually, regardless of the outcome,
you owe Aaron an apology. I'll keep the beer though. :) This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Hello,
For some very data-intensive projects it's interesting how much space the
DBMS uses for the storage of data, so I'm investigating how space
efficient different DBMSes are.
In the PostgreSQL manual, it's written that values of the type INTEGER
take op four bytes. I was curious about how close to real-World this
number is, so I did a test: How much space does PostgreSQL use when
storing 100000 rows where each row consists of a...

Hey Group,
After a long week end I am back again. Its nice and refreshing after a short
vacation so lets get started with .NET once again.
Today we will discuss about Isolated Storage. This is one of the topics
which I find interesting as I feel that it has a lot of practical usage or
applicability.
We all know that all applications need some storage space to archive certain

Created an ASP.NET Http handler using VB.NET per the example (#307997) -- Works fine running on a server. Now trying to debug the class. Followed MSDN's Debugging Preparation: Class Library, Invoke the Calling Application at a URL, to debug the class in the project folder. When I hit F5 (Debug Start) the program runs but instead of stopping at a debugging point it prints a copy of the program into an Explorer window. What am I doing wrong? ...

there any suggestions for improvements? Is there a generally

Can someone please suggest me a text editor especially for DEBUGGING

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
