My installation of PWS 4.0 won't run at all anymore. I'm going to uninstall it
and reinstall it hoping it will work again. I worked great for severa months.
I'm using Windows 95.
To uninstall I'm guessing I can use the setup program:
Start->Programs->Microsoft Personal Web Server->Personal Web Server Setup
Now I see an initial screen, click next and I see a screen where I can click
Remove All to remove all previously installed...

I have a need to become familiar with SQL Server 2000 for work.
Needless to say I am new to SQL Server any version, but not IT in
general. My employer has provided me with the SQL Server 2000
Personal disk from the SQL Server 2000 Enterprise kit as this is
reported here on the MSDN web site to be the version that is supported
on Windows XP. In fact so many of you kind people confess to having
succeeded in doing it.
I have tried...

I suspect this isn't possible, but I recently moved a app to SQL Server
and it contains a Project table. Now I have a new CRM tool that needs
to be mobile, but should also synch with the Project table on SQL Server.
I really like the idea of replicating an Access database for the mobile
users and somehow synching with the SQL server for the Projects. Is
that doable?

Developed this personal WEB site with the new ASP.NET 2.0 Beta:
http://www.techsoft.no/bendik/
It has got this problem: After a while browsing through pictures on the
site, an error occurs:
'Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a
connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled
connections were in use and max pool size was reached.'

Hi,
I've got a Windows-service that runs nice and smooth on my local
machine, but when installed on a server it fails to start the thread
inside. I can't figure out what's wrong.
The code below executes as it should on my machine: test123 is written
to the eventlog, but it's not on the server where it should be
installed.
It has however run for a few days on the server, but just stopped one
day (perhaps after a reboot?). The eventlog...

For a personal Web site with modest throughput and interactivity
demans, I'm interested in your recommendation(s) for good (cheap,
reliable, Linux friendly, very little, if any, sponsor advertising) Web
site hosting company (in U.S.).
Thanks!

Hello,
I am using Visual Basic.Net 2008 I have created about 3 forms working OK in
the past, but now I doesn't work anymore. When I try to start to
run/debugging the program it starts to open the form in a second and close
quickly. I don't know why this is happening. I add a treeview control, but
I don't think that is the problem. I just don't know what I did. Any tips
will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Cheers.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
