I am trying to create an ASP page that processes a large block of text
that is posted to the page. The data block is approximately 500K. The
only was I can figure to get the posted text into a string is using
BinaryToString. Is there another way to just get the body of text that
is posted?

Does anyone have ideas on the best way to move large amounts of data
between tables? I am doing several simple insert/select statements
from a staging table to several holding tables, but because of the
volume it is taking an extraordinary amount of time. I considered
using cursors but have read that may not be the best thing for this
situation. Any thoughts?

This sp takes a java.lang.String as input, creates a file on disk and writes the string contents to it and inserts the filename (plus some other data) in a table in the database and returns the newly generated primary key (as a java.lang.Integer). I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
