Conversion of Varbinary into varchar

Dear All,

I have written a stored procedure which returns a
Varbinary column from MS SQl Server 7 database. I tried
converting the same into Varchar but this will not work in
the database. I want the varbinary column in the Back End
as a Varchar value (like 0x0000000000000 3F4) in my ASP.
How can I achieve this? Please help.

Thanks
Sanju

I wrote a Win32 application, which is using DB2 Connect and ODBC to pull the data from the host. I am passing...

It seems I have tried everything, but I always...

I need to store 256 bit hash (SHA-2 alogrithmn) in one of the table's primary key. I would prefer to use numeric data type rather varchar etc. * Decimal datatype range is -10^38 +1 to 10^38 -1. I can split my 256 bit hash into two decimal(38, 0) type columns as composite key * I can store the hash as varbinary. I never used it and don't...

Hi Guys, Last year I got a chance to work with R&D team, which was working on DB scripts conversion.. Though there is migration tool available, it converts only tables and constraints.. Rest of things (stored procedures, functions).. we have to manually edit. That time, we face some interesting challenges.. I failed to document all of them,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
