Hi,
I am pretty new to asp.net, and have recently taken over a project. I have
gotten to the point where I am about to release my changes, but for some
reason when i build the project in release mode and launch in in IE I always
get a "The Page cannot be displayed" page instead of my login form.
Anyone have any ideas? The applciation works fine in debug mode, its just in
release mode that this happens.

Try a Dotnet group. This one covers classic asp, which is totally
different.
Best option: microsoft.publi c.dotnet.framew ork.aspnet.

Like Mike mentioned this isn't really the right group - however, one thing
that's caught me out in the past was the project build configuration, it
might be that you've got it only building your projects in DEBUG mode and
not in RELEASE mode, couple this with a browser set to only show friendly
error messages and this could be the cause..

I'm wondering why I cannot compile a co-workers project from my PC?
Here's the situation:
We both have WinXP.
We both have VS .NET 2003 installed.
I can open her project and make changes to the code...she can open my
project and make changes to my project...but if either of us try to compile
and run the app (through .NET) we get the "Could not copy temporary files to
the output directory." errors.

I have a ASP .Net page that allows moving around items on the page through
javascript. This page works fine in IE.
In FireFox however, I have found that if the page is using XHTML 1.0
Transitional as the doctype, you cannot set the style.left and style.top
properties of image or div tags. If you remove the doctype from the page it
works just fine, although I would rather not do this. You can work around

I have installed an ASP .NET Web Application on an IIS 6 Windows 2003 Server. The 'Integrated Windows Authentication' method is checked and I can access the web site on a browser running on the IIS server.
But when I try from an remote XP computer (with servername listed inits IE trusted sites), I get "The page cannot be displayed" ??

I designed a "contact_us" page in visual web developer 2005 express along

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
