I can't open Visual Basic ASP.NET new project with file share

Hi,
Whan I trying to open a NEW Visual Basic ASP.NET project(I
got Windows 2003 server),then I got an error:
The default web access for this project is set to file
share,but the project folder
at: "http://localhost/webapplnew" cannot be opened with
the path: "c:\inetpub\www root\webapplnew ".The error
returned was:
Unable to create web project webapplnew. The file path
"c:\inetpub\www root\webapplnew " does not correspond to the
URL "http://localhost/webapplnew".The two need to map to
the same server location.HTTP error 404 "Not faund".
What would you like to do:
1.Retry using a different file share
path:c:\inetpub \wwwroot\webapp lnew
2.Try to open the project with Front End server extentions.

If I continue to try a different file share path --- it's
not resolving the problem and the only choice --- open
with FPExtentions. If I choucing open with FPExtentions ---
then it is sturting to create a project and it is working
just fine.
I juct curios, why I got this error at the beginning?
Thenk you in advance.
Alex.

Hi all, I have 2 dev. machines, the 1st is Win 2000 with .NET 7.0 and the 2nd is XP Pro with .NET 2003. My Web Server is Win 2000 Server with IIS 5.0. I can create a new project on my test server from the 1st machine, but I receive an 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server error" from my Web Server. My userid/password are the same on all 3 machines.

Hi all, My problem is basic. I'm starting to try web services with Visual Studio .NET 2002, .NET Framework 1.0. I'm testing the following configuration for my project. It's a ASP.NET Web Service project in the role of server. It's another project, a Windows Form project to act as the web services client. Both projects are joined in the same solution. I hope this will be the best arrangement to develop in parallel both the server and the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
