(Sorry for double post) We are investigating the conversion of all our Legacy applications to VS.Net. Most of our applications run as ActiveX Controls hosted in Internet Explorer. This has made our support of the controls for updates very easy as we currently just publish the updated MSI files to Active Directory - we are using Intellimirror and GPO w/ Active directory to update our applications on all of our client computers. The...

How do you return the last Active Control when the control is on a tab control? Screen.ActiveControl does not seem to work. Here's the statement that my code uses. Set ctlOld = Screen.ActiveControl The code line work when all controls are placed on the form page rather than a tab control. This code should pass the last active control to the calling module. Then the following line requests the tabindex from the control.

My application is an MFC application but since MFC is essentially a Object Oriented wrapper for Win32 I am taking the liberty to post my question here. I also must confess that I am not an Active X programmer. Here is my problem: I have to read a text string from a non editable TextBox in an "alien" application. I say "alien" b'cas it is a third party application whose source code is not available to me. The third party vendor tells me...

I have been using an Active X control(SFrmAx52.ocx) in my Access program without problem in the past. However now I can see the control(SFrmAx52.ocx) in my System 32 folder, I see the control listed in the References for my program but the control is no longer working in my program nor is it available on the Active X list in the toolbox. I have tried registering (and unregistering) it using Regsvr32 but I get the error meesage "Load...

Hi, While I was developing a active desktop web page in ASP.Net using server controls I faced a problem with the autopostback property of server control. The sever control I used in my aspx page is a dropdown box. After deploying the page as a active desktop page whenever the selected index of the dropdown box changes an autopopstback takes place and a new browser window opens. But when the "autopost back" was replaced by the...

Hi, there have been loads of posts about this problem on loads of forums and I have tried everything suggested (except the stuff I’m not comfortable with like deleting drivers and reg. edits). I have an HP Pavilion dv2130ea laptop computer with XP media edition and sp2. I have had lots of automatic updates recently. When I boot my computer, everything is fine.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
