Hi
Just to confirm, if I create a cookie via one of my web sites, I can't call
and query that cookie from a different site can I?
I want to keep checking the state between a http site and a https site that
both need to work together and at the moment I have to post the relevant
session id between the sites for my background DB to keep track, but I just
had a thought - can I use a generic cookie between the sites?
I would have thought that this wasn't possible between sites with 2
different URLs, but I just wanted to check.
Thank you 1 1201
Yes, you are correct. Otherwise, I'd make a page that stole people's Paypal
password. Okay, not really, but...

Hello,
I just ran into an interesting problem with cookies while
using PHP 4 and Mozilla 1.6. Basically, I have been using
PHP on a site called:
foo.bar.net?script.php
Within that script I call setcookie() and manipulate
cookie variable $_COOKIE. All works fine

Greetings,
Is it possible to set a cookie to die if the user leaves my site *within
the current session*? I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", I just need
some confirmation.
Of course, if the answer is "yes", any pointers to documentation will be
gratefully accepted.

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to write a Python script to access a Web site.
I'm currently having a problem completing my script because the contents
I would like to access in the Web site is a dynamic content and it is
generated based on the Cookie contents which are set in another page.
url-a (setting Cookies)
url-b (dynamic content based on the Cookie value)

Hi!
From what I understand cookies could be persisted or in-memory.
I need to set second one...
This code:
Response.Cookies.Value = Server.UrlEncode(phpC);
Response.Cookies.Path = "/";
Response.Cookies.Expires = DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(1);

I have a feature that is hosted on a different domain from the primary one
in a frame, and need to retain values in a cookie.
example: A web page at one.com contains a frame which has a page hosted at
two.com
If I view the frameset from one.com in Firefox, all works well with the
content from two.com. But if trying to view this using IE (with standard
security settings), the cookie set by two.com is not accessible.

Hello,
I'm having trouble getting MSIE 6.0 (running on XP SP2) to accept a
cookie which works fine in both Firefox and wget. The web server is Boa
0.94.13 (a small embedded server) using PHP 4.3.10 for CGI.
Even with the lowest security settings in MSIE there is no cookie
acceptance, and no "Cookie:" HTTP header is being sent back by MSIE.
This is the php code for a fairly minimal testcase:

This site was working:
http://www.thesecondroad.org/
Now I'm told people are unable to create new accounts or log in.
One theory: It seems that cookies are not being set. Our beta testers
missed this bug, because the code was working at some point, and so
cookies got set to the computers of the beta testers. I have no
problem logging in, nor does anyone on my team have any trouble.

Hi all,
Is there an easier way to handle that? I used Javascript to handle this when
our two domains are hosted on two different servers(on different networks)
and our search engine marketing people don't like the javascript links since
they think the links are not favorable to a search robot.
Now our company is thinking about hosting these two domians on the same
server,
So I am wodering if there is any easy way to do that. Would you...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
