you can modify any text document via the filesysytemobje ct (of course), but
if you want to use vbscript via winword, it can be done, but not
recommended.

You can easily modify a Word document that is in RTF format. See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q270906/

I've used that technique to generate a document (filling in fields from
a database) that is then passed to the user. Provided the client is
using Windows, the client browser will open the document in Word (if
Word is installed) or in WordPad (if Word is not present).

I have a function returning a string but the problem is that the color of it is blue which suits me well for some pages but not for others. Is it possible to "feel" what the color of the background in the current document is and set the color of the output accordingly? The background will be an image, in most cases. -- Kindly Konrad

Hello I am trying the following problem: A web app in jsp and java has to open a microsoft word document directly in the browser. This part is easy and i have done it. The user then can modify the word document. If the user 'save' the document (using the Save button of the MS tool bar in the browser) the application has to 'save as' the document on the server, not over writing the openned file but creating a new one.

Below is a script i need to modify to work and its driving me nuts. Essentially it fades the content of an array. The original script specified the object name, I tried to modify it to allow an object to be passed instead as there are two fading areas on the page code below, to be honest I could see absolutely no reason why but im not that offay with javascript so this could be down to me. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
